NEFF Slide and Hide

Neff Slide & Hide ovens are fantastic. Not only is the build quality great, but the design is genius and unique. Neff’s Slide & Hide door is ideal if you are looking to save space in a tight kitchen, or just looking for a stylish oven that your friends, family, and visitors are impressed by; being it is the only oven on the market to feature a disappearing door. We love it! In fact, we would recommend Neff and Bosch over any other oven/cooker brand. How it works: Unfortunately, in time and like any oven they do get dirty and need cleaning. Cleaning the Neff Slide & Hide oven, particularly the door can be tricky (although it seems tricky for some oven cleaning companies it now seems). Over the course of the last few months here at Oven Cleaning Sheffield we have received at least a dozen calls from people struggling to find an oven cleaning company that can remove the Neff Slide & Hide door and clean in-between the door glass. It seems a number of oven cleaning companies in Sheffield and surrounding areas are refusing to clean the Neff Slide & Hide as they are not confident in removing the Neff Slide & Hide door to clean between the panes of glass. At Oven Cleaning Sheffield we have been deep cleaning the Neff Slide & Hide oven (including removing the door and cleaning in-between the door glass) since it came on the market. And what in our opinion is even more impressive about our service is that we do not charge a penny more for this seemingly difficult task (the door). See our prices if you would like your Neff Slide & Hide oven fully deep cleaned, the price is exactly the same as a standard single oven clean! Here are a few pictures for you guys of us removing and opening up and refitting a Neff Slide & Hide door: 1 Neff Slide & Hide oven: With door partially open and still fitted: With the door removed: The Slide & Hide door removed and ready to be cleaned: Outer glass removed to access any mess/drips inside the door: Door cleaned and reassembled: ...

Oven Cleaning Tips

Here are a few tips for you guys to help keep your oven cleaner for longer, in between your professional deep oven cleans. 1) Clean up big spills as soon as possible. While the oven is still slightly warm if possible. Wipe up spills and splats from in the oven and on the door/glass with soapy water and a cloth/microfibre cloth. Avoid using caustic products like Mr Muscle/Oven Pride as these types of products can leave permanent white burn marks on the ovens enamel and glass. If you get an obvious splat or spill, wipe it with soapy water while the oven is still slightly warm and this will suffice. 2) Oven Liner. We often get asked about Oven Liners for the bottom of the oven. These are fine so long as your oven does not have a heating element in the bottom of the oven. If your oven does have an element in the bottom the control marker will show the oven diagram with a line on the bottom part of it. If your oven does have a bottom element and you wish to use an oven liner, you need to avoid using this setting. Also, Avoid putting foil in the bottom of the oven as this can stick and damage the surface once removed. 3) Loosen it up. Fancy having a go at sprucing up your oven between professional cleans? You can loosen baked on food from your oven by placing a heat-proof bowl of boiling water in your oven at a high temperature heat for approximately 20 minutes with the oven door closed. The steam from this will loosen up any dried mess, then as soon as the oven has cooled down enough you can wipe it out with paper towels, or a microfibre cloth. 4) Use a bag. Or Pyrex style dish with lid. A roasting bag or Pyrex style easy grab dish with lid can be really useful for helping to keep your oven cleaner for longer. You can use them for for things like fish, meat, veg. Many people actually say they prefer the food cooked this way as it “locks in the flavor” of foods, and adds...

End of tenancy oven cleaning

Tenants, If you’re an existing tenant coming to the end of your letting period don’t let something as trivial as neglected oven cleaning be the reason for losing your deposit. Let’s put this into perspective, the cleanliness of a property makes up a huge percentage of all tenancy deposit disputes, and some of which can be attributed to people forgetting, missing, or not cleaning items to a good enough standard, in this case the oven, hob, or even the extractor fan. oven cleaning is one of the biggest issues for many landlords when it comes to a cleanliness inspection. Different people have differing ideas of what is clean. There is a general level of cleanliness form that landlords work to during a property cleanliness  inspection: “never been cleaned”, “attempted cleaning but still dirty”, “cleaned to an average household standard” (up to what is called in the inventory profession “cleaned to a domestic standard”) and “cleaned to a professional standard”. In most cases the oven would need to be “cleaned to a professional standard” to pass an inspection. Book in with us for a deep clean and we can ensure that you will have a oven that will pass even the most rigorous cleanliness inspection.
